![]() Red Domes: The church of the red domes in Palermo was another impressive sight, and definitely a rather odd mixture, with Norman/Moorish beginnings and a Baroque facade clapped onto the front. A little bit of this, a little bit of that, and a couple of palm trees for luck, as you can see below. |

![]() Monreale Cathedral: Outside of Palermo and up a hill is a little city famous for its beautiful Cathedral. Luck was with me and I got an unusual shot of the facade and belltower, with a strange coloration. I surrounded it with a black border here, but it doesn't show at all well surrounded with all this white space. It remains one of my favorite photos of this trip. Skill is required to get consistently good photos, but sometimes luck is the main ingredient of the best shots. |
